Thailand: the Army Deployed in Bangkok

The army has  moved to Rule in Thailand Tuesday, May 20 as the application of martial law in the kingdom, marked by months of crisis  and  anti-government protests.

The imposition of martial law aims "to restore peace and public order ", According to General Prayuth Chan-Ocha, chief arm ed, who spoke on television in the morning.

"A center dedicated to policing and controlled by the army chief will be implemented to prevent and resolve problems that affect peace and law and order in our country. Under the 'Martial Law Act', this center will bring up any legislation to control the situation effectively. " 

Local TV stations invested
Following this announcement, the military took control of the main television channels in the country, according to Reuters and CNN . Soldiers and vehicles were seen inside their offices in Bangkok, while some bands calling Thais quietly appeared on the air several programs.

A general condition of anonymity, said:

"We need the cooperation of [television], so they ask people not to panic and they tell them that this is not a coup . We do this because the situation is not stable, they are killing each other every day. "
