Firearm advocates want Jim Carrey deported

A day after Jim Carrey launched a comic video on Funny or Die buffooning challengers of gun control, supporters of the right to birth arms have developed an application requiring Jim Carrey be deported back to Canada. The video Cold Dead Hand, which is a parody of a Hee Haw program, went instantaneously viral, many thanks partly to Carrey's impersonation of weapon proponent Charlton Heston and a catchy song that contrasted firearms to penis substitutes. Carrey continued the attack on his Twitter account, resulting in dynamic debate online.

The request, which can easily be located on change.org, puts out this:.

Canadian Citizen and Comedian Actor Jim Carrey is captivated in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We require that Jim Carrey be deported promptly for his effort to weaken the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a nationwide recognized Comedian & Actor to present attacks versus the civil liberties of American residents.

The organizers of the application make it clear they don't have everything against Canada-- it's Carrey they don't such as and they want him or her gone.

So much the application has a few thousand signatures-- well except the million-plus sights the video clip had in its very first day online.
