45 killed by bomb in Pakistan

At least 25 people were killed in a bomb attack in the city of Karachi in Pakistan.

A bomb blast in Pakistan's largest city Karachi killed at least 45 people Sunday. Meanwhile, around 150 wounded, police in the city.

The bomb exploded near an area that is dominated by Shiite Muslims, who are a minority in the country, said police officer Ghulam Shabir Sheikh.

- The bomb was placed in a car. Also, women are among the dead, said Sheikh.

There was first reported five dead, but the figure was later revised to 25, then to 45

The motive for the attack is not yet known, but it was Sunday night speculated that it could be a suicide bomber from a Sunni sect was behind.

It is expected that the number of fatalities may increase further.
