Video Aired on Turkish TV Shows Syrian Car Bomb EXplosion

Turkish TV today released video images of the car with Syrian signs, which exploded at the border crossing on the Turkish town Reyhanli Monday.

There  was placed a huge bomb in the vehicle, and 14 people were killed and dozens wounded.

The explosion occurred near the trucks going over the border to Syria with humanitarian aid.
Around 15 trucks were destroyed in the attack.
Turkish authorities believe it is too early to say who is behind the bomb and who was supposed to strike.

- An act of terrorism

- This is a terrorist act. We work with several options. It was probably carried out by a Syrian, Turkey's interior minister says Muammar Guler.

The Syrian National Council accused the regime in Damascus of being behind the attack. The bomb went off at the same time that a delegation from the Council was waiting to cross the border. The delegation was on its way back to Turkey from Syria's largest city, Aleppo

The Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that there was a lack of control on the Syrian side of the border that led to the explosion.

The explosion caused major damage to the border station. The gate was blown away and much of the roof was destroyed.
