Pakistan Test Fires Nuclear-Capable War Head Missile
Pakistan military said on Friday, it has successfully test fired a nuclear capable surface to surface ballistic missile having a range of 112 miles (180 kilometers), the second such test in a week. Hatf II, also called Abdali, carries nuclear as well as conventional warheads with high accuracy, a press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. According to statement, the test was carried out as part of the process of validation of land based ballistic missile systems. The weapon system with its varied maneuverability options provides an operational level capability to Pakistan's Strategic Forces. Pakistan and India conduct missile tests regularly and inform each other in advance. The neighbors have fought three full-scale wars since they were carved out of British India in 1947.
