Komodo Dragon ATTACK! Twice for One Man

Attacked and bitten by poisonous giant lizard - for the second time

50 year old Ahmad Main stayed alone in a guard hut in the park when one of the park's Komodo dragons suddenly came into the cabin.

Ahmad attempted to climb up on a chair, but was still bitten in the leg when the two-meter-long beast attacked.

Another park employee, Usman Li (35), heard  that Main shouted for help and tried to come to the rescue.

But when Li tried to pull away from  Main the lizard he himself was bitten on the left leg.

Eventually several park employees had to chase away the lizard, and  Main and Li were  taken to hospital where they had to sew respectively, 41 and 42 stitches.

Bitten again

But this is not the first time Ahmad Main was bitten by the poisonous komodo lizards. In 2009 he was also bitten, resulting in an ugly scar on his right hand.

The Komodo dragon is the world's greatest living lizard, and is found only in Indonesia. It can grow up to three meters long and weigh around 150 kilograms.

It is also very omnivorous and enjoys eating a variety of animals from birds, goats, monkeys and water buffalo.

According to the Bangkok Post, there are also cases where the Komodo dragon has attacked and eaten people.

The species is endangered, and according to the AP , it is estimated that there are only 4000 individuals left.
