Three foreign doctors killed in Nigeria

Friday  nine women and a man who worked in a vaccination program against polio were cruelly killed in Kano, the largest city in northern Nigeria. Fanatical Muslims believe that the vaccine program is a western attempt to poison Nigerians.

The  Islamist group Boko Haram is blamed for attacks against health workers in Nigeria.

The three doctors were at home when they were killed. They had no security guards, and they lived in a normally peaceful neighborhood. At least one of physicians may have been beheaded.

The present confusion about the nationality of the three doctors. 

It was first announced that they were from China, and later that they were from South Korea. The latest reports suggest that they were North Korean.

- Several arrested

Police Commissioner Rufai Sanusi confirmed to AP news agency that the attack took place last night, that they have launched an investigation and that several persons  are arrested. It need not mean  much however, as  Police this part of Nigeria are  known to arrest those they apprehend in the vicinity of a Aastad, without any particular suspicion.

Nigeria is only one of three countries in the world where  polio is still common. The other two countries are Pakistan and Afghanistan

. Also in these countries terrorist-  Muslims attacked health workers who have worked in foreign vaccine program.
