Extremist trio been Found guilty in Epic-Size Terror Plot
Three men are in a British court found guilty of plotting a terrorist attack that would have been even BLOODIER than the London bombings in 2005.
The three men, Irfan Naseer (31), Irfan Khalid (27) and Ashika Ali (27) were members in a terrorist cell based in Birmingham.
The trio are guilty of plotting to spread eight suicide bombs in backpacks, and several timed explosive in densely populated areas. Sentencing is still not settled.
Had the plan been seen in action, it would have caused death and injury on a massive scale. The consequences would have been worse than the London bombings in 2005 , according to prosecutors claim.
- Worse than 2005 bombings
The 7th July 2005 bombs exploded in three subway trains and a bus in London. 55 people were killed and over 700 wounded.
Just over a year after the London attack in Britain widespread terrorist attacks were quickly concocted. These plans were to explode at least nine airliners while they were on their way over the Atlantic between the UK and USA. 24 persons were arrested.
Disclosure of terror plan Naseer, Khalid and Ali is surely the most extensive since 2006, according to British police.
terror training in Pakistan
According to the British online newspaper The Guardian was the defendant radicalized through the magazine "Inspire." The magazine is an online self-help guide to be terrorist that is produced and published by the terrorist network Al Qaeda.
Naseer and Khalid traveled twice to Pakistan where they received terrorist training for a long time, among other things by an Al Qaeda camp in North Waziristan. This residence was aborted when the two had fled from U.S. drone attacks.
Naseer also recruited secondary extremists in Britain to take part in terrorist plans.
