Ex-policeman in a gunfight with police who hunt him
Police in the U.S. state confirm to AP that it fired at the fugitive and police officers are attempting to arrest him.
Local television stations reported that two police officers are shot.
What will be one of the largest in U.S. history manhunts underway and has been underway for over a week.
The thousands of police officers are looking for is a 33-year-old who is suspected of having killed two people Sunday 3 February.
On Tuesday, the former policeman have broken into a cabin in Big Bear area in California. In the cabin, two people have been tied up before the man ran off with their car, said a police source that spoke anonymously to the AP.
The local police told U.S. media that they are now searching the area around where the car was stolen. Residents warned that more roads may be closed in the search for the perpetrator.
One of the two who were killed in the beginning of February, the daughter of a former police officer who now works as a lawyer. The other victim was daughter's fiance.
33-year-old Christopher Dorner have accused the lawyer that he lost his job in the police.
The two dead bodies were found in their car in a parking garage, police said.
On Wednesday night, he also killed a policeman and shot and injured two others.
First he attacked two police officers in Riverside, east of Los Angeles. He killed one of them wounding the other.
Then he must have hurt a third policeman in another event.
Threatened policemen on the Internet
The Wanted has posted a manifesto on the Internet where he has
been made threats against several police officers and their families.
- I will conduct unconventional and asymmetric war against all the LAPD uniform, whether in service or not, Dorner writes in the manifesto.
Dorner was fired from the police in 2008 for giving false testimony.
Police in Los Angeles and the FBI has stepped up security around the 40 police officers who are named in the manifest.
