Ten civilians killed in Afghanistan

Five children, four women and one civilian man was killed in an attack on a house where Taliban soldiers lived in Kunar Province east of the country, said provincial governor Sayed Fazulullah Wahidi told AFP.

Four other children were wounded.

NATO can not confirm
A spokesman for NATO said they are investigating the allegations. Those familiar with an event similar to that described, but can not confirm the number of casualties.

- Foreign forces conducted the operation without informing us, said provincial governor.

Three military rebel leaders were also killed in the airstrike, one of them is suspected of having links to Al Qaeda, according to a local leader.
The attack was carried out in support of a ground operation that Afghan and U.S. soldiers conducted jointly.

Civilian victims creates anger

There have been a number of NATO attacks in Afghanistan with civilians has created anger among the local population.
