Car bombs targeting Bashar al-Assad's Baath party in Damascus
A car bomb hit the Syrian capital of Damascus on Thursday. Bomben exploded close Headquarters to it reigning Baath-party, according eyewitnesses.
Syrian TV calls the attack in the district Mazraa a terrorist attack. It is not certain what caused the explosion, but it is reported dead in attack and more children hurt.
According to Syrian media "a large number of people" killed and injured in the attack.
"Terrorist explosion killed and wounded a large number of civilians," SANA news agency reported.
Ambulances rushed to the place after the explosion, and clouds of smoke were watching over the city, the news agency AFP.
The Associated Press writes that the car bomb exploded at a security point between the Russian embassy and the headquarters of the Baath Party of President Bashar al-Assad.
The explosion is the third in as many days in the Syrian capital. Wednesday, two blasts of near a football stadium in Damascus, a player was killed in the attacks.
The day before, on Tuesday, two explosions also went off, this time close to President Bashar al-Assad's palace in the city, there were only reports of property damage by these explosions.
