Nine killed, 30 injured in explosion in Turkey

The explosion occurred in Cilvegozu in the southern province of Hatay.

The car was probably suicide bomber, said Maj. Huseyin Sanverdi to Turkish TV. This is not confirmed and other messages is that the explosion may have caused a shelling attack by Syrian side.

The explosion occurred near the trucks going over the border to Syria with humanitarian aid, according to Turkish authorities. Around 15 trucks were destroyed in the attack, according to Major Sanverdi.

The trucks should have been part of a humanitarian convoy in the border area. A spokesman for the Turkish authorities say a suicide bomber could have caused the explosion.
