26 Die in Explosion and Bridge Collapse in China

In China, at least 26 people lost their lives when a truck loaded with fireworks suddenly went in the air at the bridge Friday morning.

The powerful blast was the bridge in Sanmexia area in Henan Province to collapse. 80 meters of the bridge collapsed, and six vehicles came with it, reports the Chinese state news agency Xinhua.

The road that goes over the bridge called G30. It is the longest highway in China, and extends almost 4400 km. The bridge is 30 meters high and is located not far from the city of Sanmenxia.

At this time of year there is heavy traffic on highways in China. The country prepares for Chinese New Year which this year celebrated 10 February.
