Over 100 civilians killed in Homs
The city of Homs has received major injuries after months of fighting.
Over 100 civilians Syrians, among them women and children, are killed in an attack outside the central city of Homs, according to an activist group.
According exile group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was attacked, which lasted a day, conducted Tuesday.

- New massacre
- The Syrian regime conducted a new massacre Tuesday which took 106 lives, including women and children, said the group, which gets its information from local activists and doctors.

The attack was aimed at a rural area on the outskirts of town.
The organization says that around 1,000 people have sought refuge there after fleeing fighting in the town itself.

Eyewitnesses said that entire families were killed when the houses they lived in caught fire as a result of the attack. Others were shot or stabbed to death when Assad troops stormed the place.
The pro-government daily Al-Watan reported that government forces have had success in the fight against insurgents in Homs, some rebels even denies.

The rebels called Homs "revolution capital ', and the battle for the city has been going on for months.
Homs has a strategic location on several trade routes to the border with Iraq and Lebanon. The southwestern districts situated not far from the capital Damascus.
