David Bowie producer says 'melancholy' release is 'very differen

You know I'm still blown away by what DB has done - he 'did' us all, the sly old devil. From mourning a commonly held belief that we'd most likely never even clap eyes on our hero again, he rises from the creative grave that we'd respectfully covered over a while ago, having accepted his departure from the stage with much sadness.
Reflecting on the events that marked Bowie's 66th birthday, it's like some pre-ordained trickery that was mapped out from the start - and I do mean the start, 40+years ago. Always clever, dramatic, commercially adept, always artistically relevant - and fiendishly manipulative throughout. Crowley tinged 'magick'? Nah, but I really don't believe any other artist could have exercised the level of control he's achieved in keeping it all a beautiful secret.
