Al Jazeera journalist killed in Syria
A journalist for Al Jazeera was killed by a sniper in the province of Dera southern Syria on Friday, reports the Arabic news channel.
The journalist, Mohammed Hourani, was shot in Basra al-Harir in Dera while he covered the fighting in the area, according to Al Jazeera.
Before he began working for the station, attended Hourani in revolt against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. According to the news channel was one of the regime forces' snipers who killed him.
Reporters Without Borders reports that at least 20 journalists have been killed in Syria since the uprising began in 2011. Thursday was a French journalist killed in the city of Aleppo in the north country.
