Pope lashed out against gays in Christmas speech

According to news agency AP to the Pope stated that "people who tamper with God's gender division of creating their own sexual preferences destroy the very essence of man."

The threat to world peace

The statements fell during a speech the pope held for civil servants in the Vatican. 

This is the second time in a week the pope talks about gays destroying the traditional family values. Something he has done  mainly after France and several states in the U.S. have now opted  for the marriage of gays and lesbians. 

- People who oppose the idea that God has given them a bodily identity that helps to define them as a person deny their very  nature, the Pope further said.

According to Pope Benedict's annual peace message is gay marriage, abortion and euthanasia are  the greatest threats to world peace.

Statements have been gays to take action.

New gay laws in Russia

While in many Western countries opened up to strengthen gay rights--  Russia is experiencing both religious forces and other key actors in society is pushing to get passed a new anti-gay  

in what they define as homosexual propaganda. 

It is expected that the bill will be heard in the Duma in the morning, but the uncertainty as to whether they will adopt it. 

If they do, it will make life for gays in Russia very much harder than it already is today.
