30 tortured and killed found in Damascus
The bodies of 30 tortured and maimed people are found north of Damascus, according to human rights group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
30 equal is found in the Barzeh district. They have signs of torture and has not yet been identified, said the group, which relies on health professionals and activists on the spot when it comes to passing on information from the war.
An activist organization called The Syrian Revolution General Commission, said that there is about 50 corpses.
The group also says that the heads and faces of those killed is roughed up so bad that it is impossible to identify them. There has not been reports about it are rebels or government forces are behind the killings and torture.
The bodies were found Sunday, the same day that UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi said he had a plan to end the war . Brahimi, as Syria envoy for the United Nations and the Arab League met the league's leader Nabil al-Arabi in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Sunday.
He told the meeting that the situation in Syria is "very bad and getting worse by the day."
78 civilians killed Sunday
Sunday, an estimated 160 people were killed in Syria. 78 were civilians, 41 soldiers and 41 militants, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Over 45,000 people, according to activist groups died in the civil war that broke out in March last year.
