by Hungarian Police against Anonymous: 7 alleged hacktivists arrested
and we are afraid there’s more to come! We call for Vendetta!

Police forces of Hungary raided at night in around 10 apartements right after #OpOligarchia (an anti-corruption campaign) conducted by Hungarian Anonymous collective on 28-August . Few days later 6 alleged hacktivists are arrested and many more interrogated as ’witnesses’ in Hungary, so the number of jailed Anonymous supporters is now reached seven (7), including several minors (teenagers between 16 and 19 years) and one hacker who has been indefinetely imprisoned for more than 150 days (since April, 2012) without any court decision! During the Gestapo-style raid last week, more than one hundred (100) computers, laptops, drives and other different devices are seized by NNI (National Investigation Department) from the homes of electronic protestors and activists of Anonymous.
Hungarian Anonymous collective arranged its anti-corruption campaign called Operation Oligarchia and swang into action against Közgép Zrt. (the highly corrupted company that is a momentous beneficiary and number one recipient of incredibly great amount of untrasparent taxmoney flood by the Orban regime) after the Hungarian and international media proven clear facts concerning oligarchic conspiracy, manipulated public procurements, illegal money transfers and an outlined secret government maffia. The company is at the crossfire and in the centre of the widest public and media interest, since huge amount of citizens’ money disappeared on the bank accounts of Közgép via non-transparent procurements and hidden contracts. Many other civic organizations and political parties from the opposition (including LMP or MSzP) also demonstrated earlier against Közgép and the so called despotic/tyrannic „oligarchia” of PM Orban and his regime.
The goal of our online campaign and electronic demonstration was simply to highlight these dirty practices and protest against filthy government corruption. Loose collective of Anonymous members published an official statement and a short video message then succesfully taken down http://www.kozgep.hu at 6.15 PM on the 28th of August during a DDoS attack accomplished as a digital mass demonstration. The website was unreachable for only about 8 hours, the next morning the servers were functioning without any difficulties: Anonymous caused no harm, no unauthorised access of data or any loss of information (hacking or deletion) is recognized.
According the official statement of Hungarian Pirate Party and other organizations in Hungary and worldwide, we also claim that Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is a legitimate tool of expressing criticism toward the corrupted state institutions or corporate powers and a legitimate form of online demonstration in the Digital Age, therefore should not meet immediate brutal retorsion (home raids, arrests, seizures of private property, invasion of privacy, cruel interrogations, intimidation etc.) by Police forces of government. There is a reasonable suspicion that the police acted and served as semi-military force of the corrupted elite to systematically intimidate our supporters, spread fear among dissenters and reduce protestors to silence. We are very afraid that police investigators will use materials and data of the seized computers for more arrests or legal procedures against us.
Anonymous cannot be stopped, especially not by fear, agression or abuse of power! Citizens should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of its citizens.
We, Anonymous Hungary – as a whole, altogether with ten thousands of our supporters – now demand the immediate release of alleged hacktivists and unconditional forgiveness of all charges against activists of our collective!
Otherwise we openly call our global collective to show merciless Vendetta of Anonymous to Orban and his oligarchic powers. We ask all of our Anonymous brothers and sisters in arms for a better world to help Hungarian Anonymous to strike back! Please join us, because our fight is the same, we are One Voice, One Legion, One Nameless Collective without borders. Don’t forget: arrest of one of us means an attack of all of us!
