Facebook Plans World's Biggest Open Office
ARCHITECTURE: Frank Gehry, renowned for his having signed the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, in cheerful conversation with Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook's blog. Mark Zuckerburg got star architect Frank Gehry to design buildings to be placed in the existing Menlo Park Campus.
- The idea is to create the perfect room for developers, a giant room where there's room for thousands of people who are so close together that it's nice to cooperation. It is the largest open offices in the world, but there are also many private, quiet room, explaining Zuckerberg.
There will be a mini-kitchen and several cafes in the big room.
The roof of the building will be a scape, with grass and trees, while the building will be connected to the existing Facebook offices with an underground tunnel.
