The attack happened around a college in Santa Monica , located west of Los Angeles.

Two of those killed have been found in a house that is believed to have been the scene where the shooting began. The third victim is a woman who was injured when she was shot near school in Santa Monica. In addition, there are reports of three victims of, the perpetrator may be among these. She died at the hospital, according to sources for Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, reports Los Angeles Times.

It is unclear whether more than one perpetrator involved. Police said they are searching for a possible culprit in addition to the man who has been arrested. He was shot by police and was among the wounded, reports the Los Angeles Times Friday.
