Deaths in hospitalMohammed Bakhtiar, who died at a hospital Friday night, a familiar figure in the extremist Muslim terror movement.- The direct cause of death was brain hemorrhage and his condition has been critical for several days, said his lawyer.Tunisian Justice Minister Noureddine Behiri says Bakhti was released 11november, and that his health deteriorated afterwards.Lawyer says Bakhti was unconscious when he was released.- The release occurred because the authorities knew he had a few days left to live.Bakhti was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2007 for taking part in bloody battles between Islamists and government troops, but was freed in an amnesty after the upheavals of 2011.Claimed they were innocentThursday died another called Salafists, bechir Gholli, who had a hunger strike as long. He died in hospital after the third heart attack in a short time. Both claimed they were innocent and protested against conditions in prison.- We tried to persuade them both to end the hunger strike. When they refused, we gave them medical help, says Justice Minister Behiri. The embassy attack attended hundreds of protesters, and entered the embassy before they were stopped.Over 100 people have been arrested for taking part in the action. The deaths may create additional problems for the government which is already under pressure from more conservative forces and non-religious parties. The moderate Islamic party Ennahdha is the largest party in government, working together with two non-religious parties.Ennahdha has promised not to ban alcohol, require women to wear veils, and not to impose Islamic sharia law.
